Perfect Puglia

Best known as the heel of Italy’s boot-like shape, Puglia is an unspoiled haven of olive groves, hearty cuisine and picture-perfect coastal towns. Read about my stay at the pristine Don Totu Dimora Storica here and enjoy these additional photos and recommendations from an unforgettable visit.

Coastal vibes in Castro

Wes Anderson colour schemes, narrow lanes of medieval architecture, and spellbinding clifftop views of the Adriatic will keep you returning to the coastal town of Castro.

Open air art gallery in Paduli Park

Make sure to cycle around Puglia’s Paduli Park, winding in and out of olive groves while taking in the woven sculptures, all constructed by locals.

Rooms galore at Masseria Le Stanzie

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of Supersano, a traditional inn with cosy autumnal décor and impeccable Pugliese cuisine. After a tour of the caves, we were welcomed into the dining area with a black bean and pork stew hot from the stove, alongside a generous helping of fresh pasta and small plates.
