Christmas just keeps on giving. The Barnes Foundation is refreshingly different from other galleries in that the œuvres are not arranged by artist, time period or movement but rather by their common features - whether that be paint strokes, colour scheme or use of space. There are no labels on the paintings, encouraging visitors to investigate the visual ties between the individual works - an interactive experience that provokes interesting debate amongst visitors 🎨 @barnesfoundation

One of the highlights of the trip to Philadelphia was a tour of the Barnes Foundation, followed by this “fall-inspired” lunch. We’re talking candied butternut panzanella, creamy pumpkin polenta with pecorino and fried sage (the dream), grilled sea bass with saffron potatoes, olives, chorizo and crispy aubergine (swipe to the left), and sublime butterscotch pots with caramelised pears and toasted walnuts. I was also *this* close to pocketing that hammered gold cutlery 🍴 @barnesfoundation
